Warning and disclaimer in Chapter 1

Alex glared at Darien for a moment and then saw Claire sit down at another table with someone who looked very much like Hobbes. "Nope. I don't think so," she sighed calmly.

Darien returned the confused look he'd just gotten from her.

Alex got up and pulled Darien out of his seat. She hoisted his arm behind him and marched him forward before he could even yelp out a protest.

Claire's eyes pleaded with Bobby to cooperate.

Bobby just laid his face in his hands and groaned.

"Please, Bobby..." she started just as Alex walked up behind her pushing Darien forcefully.

"Uhhh...Claire..." he tried to warn her.

Alex cleared her throat loudly. "Well, Robert, our dates seem to have sat down at the wrong tables."

Bobby just suppressed a giggle. He wasn't sure which was funnier, the fact that Alex and Claire were dating or that Darien and Claire had tried to cover it up like this.

Darien and Claire both looked at each other sheepishly. They were both going to have a lot of explaining to do when they got home.

"So what now?" Bobby asked Alex.

"Well, I guess it's along these lines; we'll keep your secret if you keep ours."

"I think that's fair," Bobby nodded.

"I suppose we could also work something out later if we're in danger of being caught," Alex brought up.

Darien just sat silently. He'd never thought that Claire and Alex...of course he guessed it was the same for what Claire was thinking about him and Bobby.

Claire shifted in her seat nervously. She felt awful about doing that to Alex, but she never would have dreamed that Bobby and Darien... 'Well, I guess you learn something new everyday,' she thought to herself.
